Book launch time again. Yep, I am unleashing a book into the ether once more. This time it will be a non fiction offering. Estimated time of arrival? Sunday. This seemed like a grand idea when I came up with it, but as the days pass there is a certain amount of ‘what was I THINKING?!’ running through my head. The first draft is finished, and I’m editing it all together into something splendid.
The purpose of this slender tome will be to release word nerds from the curse of the unpublished, and help them take the first steps towards the arms of an adoring public (and agents, publishers and all that malarky should they so desire).
Here’s a sneaky look at the proposed cover. All feedback is welcome. I still have a few days to sort it out before the big launch. I’ll sneak you further details later in the week…

Hey Rebecca,

Oh,BTW, the proposed cover reflects your image brand, the colors are fiery and passionat

What a lovely comment. Thank you so much. I’m glad you like the branding. I’ve stuck with Blogger for so long. This is my first attempt at WordPress. It’s fun!
Wow that was fast! I can’t wait to add it to my reading list and dig in!! =)

Thank you Rasheed. It’s just turned Thursday in England. Not 100% sure how I’ll get this done by Sunday, but I’ll do my best. If it’s not out on Sunday, it’ll certainly be out next week. The scent of the finishing line is in my nostrils!
Hey, Rasheed. Thanks for liking this on Facebook by the way. You rock!
I love the armor…she’s too adorable. Be sure to let me in on the book release.
Thank you. My husband drew that when I won the Ms Twitter contest with the slogan ‘the pen is mightier than the pin-up’. It’s a kinda sorta portrait of me as Queen of the Word Nerd Army.
In a moment of mad optimism, I went for ‘Sunday’. It may happen. It looks spookily likely. If it doesn’t though, it’ll be out next week. I’ll certainly keep you informed.
With my Youngest Tax Deduction aspiring to be an author in the fantasy genre, this launch couldn’t be better timed.
Can’t wait for Sunday, Bex!
Bliss-ings and bestest wishes,

How delightful! I’m SO happy when I hear of other authors budding into being around the globe. It’s a beautiful journey.
Aloha Rebecca!
Congratulations on releasing another book! Wow! I am in “awe” of authors like you who can just write with ease. It takes me a while to even write a blog post. Amazing accomplishment!
Much aloha,

Kellie

Thank you so much, Kellie. I was the same until I finished my first book. It’s surprisingly hard to be in awe of yourself when you accomplish something, so it stops being scary. I remember agonising over the first article I wrote for Writing Magazine. I’d wanted to write for them for about a decade, and I pitched for the gig for about a year. It was HUGE. Now, it’s just part of my schedule. I’m still thrilled by it, but it’s not intimidating in the least. I heard that someone quoted my column as a secondary source in a book a couple of months ago. Don’t know which book, but that was cool! Never imagined being quoted as a secondary source. That’s so grown up!
Hi Rebecca, congratulations on the new book! :You have a beautiful blog here. I will check back soon.

Just noticed how many of you have shared this on social networks. Thank you so much for that.
Thank you Tonya. I’ve put a lot of time into it, but I’ve had such great feedback that I’m glad I took the trouble. I rather like hanging out here.

Thank you Rodney.
Looking forward to your new book! I really like the design of your blog! Good stuff!
Thank you very much Adam.
Rebecca, your cover is awesome. Really supports the idea of having a social media platform as a writer… and how to do it. I’m not a writer (except my blog), but I have thought about it for the future. Thanks for giving us a sneak peak!

Love the cover, Rebecca (and the blog, which I stumbled across for the first time today) and, yes, the pen is indeed mightier than the pin-up.
You can’t keep word nerds apart for long.
Great that you stumbled across the blog. The pen will always be SO much mightier than the pin-up. While I’m waiting for the majority of people to realise that, though, I’m grateful for Photoshop. It’s like a spell-checker for your face.
That’s for sure, Rebecca, but it helps to have someone around who knows how to USE Photoshop. Unfortunately, I don’t ….
Nor me. Fortunately, I know lots of people who are Photoshop geeks, so they do it instead. My formula for life is:
1/ Do what you love
2/ If you think you might love something, but you don’t understand it yet, then learn it
3/ If you don’t like something, or you don’t have time to learn it, then outsource it
4/ Eat chocolate
5/ Promise self never to eat chocolate again
6/ Repeat steps 1-5
Rebecca…I am SO excited for you. This is a book that is needed by so many, and the timing is absolutely perfect. I can’t wait for the actual launch! So honored to know you…♥
